About the Client

Goldenvoice may not be a household name. Unless, of course, your household likes live music. If that's the case, you've probably seen their name at the top of your Ticketmaster ticket. As promoter of such events as the world famous Coachella Music and Arts Festival and Stagecoach Country Music Festival, as well as host to the biggest names in music today, Goldenvoice is at the heart of what is hot in music. Unfortunately, their website wasn't exactly what was hot in websites. Enter Frye / Wiles.

As a subsidiary of music giant AEG, the Goldenvoice project came with certain challenges: It needed to stay current, it needed to pull data from a corporate database, and it needed to engage users and make sure they are able to get the latest show information with minimaleffort. We built the site using the latest in XSL transformation, and supplimented that with a some other content and user-interactivity features, a blog, a secondary content management system, and a reskinned messageboard.

Of course, being a Frye / Wiles product, we took the opportunity to enhance the searchability of the site and bring it into compliance with current web standards. We also worked with Goldenvoice to develop the look of the site, which needed to look modern and be capable of credibly displaying listings for Willie Nelson and Kanye West right next to each other.

For some final interactivity, we developed a dynamic Javascript Featured Events Viewer and a Flash/XML Festivals map. We also syndicated data from parts of the site to other parts (so, for example, you can see the latest messageboard posts on the front page of the site).
