Amongst the fine souls at Frye / Wiles, I'm the lone wolf that tows the business line. Alone and outnumbered, I pour over bank statements, invoices, e-mails, and enter all the pertinent info in my handy, yet occasionally aggravating, accounting software program. Not exactly the most exciting work being done in the office, to be sure, but I take comfort knowing that somebody has to. And I'm just the financial somebody to do it.
You could say that I inadvertently tripped into the business world by choosing a major in college based on it being the first one on the alphabetical list of majors. That major being Accounting. And though I enjoyed it for a time, I soon moved into Finance and Information Management as my primary undergrad focus. Like many here, I graduated from Cal State San Bernardino, and came away with a degree in Finance and Information Management, along with one in Real Estate just for kicks. After toiling for years in the corporate world, I entered into a partnership with my esteemed college Rob, to bring about quality website design and development to the Inland Empire.
I often see myself as the cool, nerdish type, but just by writing that, I probably skew more towards the nerd side of the equation. Although, I was in a pretty cool back in the day with my punk rock band, so I'll happily cling to those roots like grim death. I enjoy keeping up with the latest in movies and videogames, especially all things Nintendo, as well as comic books. My fanboy love for Buffy the Vampire Slayer is renowned around these parts and my collection of high priced action figures is troubling, to say the least. Beyond that, I'm involved with a weekly writing group and often think very hard about getting some exercise.
