User Interface Design

User Interface Design is the manner in which a website or software application is laid out in order for users to properly navigate around. The goal of any user interface is to present the website or application as clearly and intuitively as possible. It's never a good thing if your users are exiting the website in frustration, before they do whatever it is you've designed the website to accomplish, because the interface is poorly designed. This can be addressed with the style of design, but proper user interface design usually goes beyond just that. Issues like text legibility, information flow, and language used can also play a large role in how your website reads.

From start to finish, we here at Frye / Wiles keep the user in mind when deciding how to design the web interface. We're famous for our "Mom Test" - we like to ask the question, "would your mom be able to figure this out?" By doing this, we make sure the designs we use are clean, clear and intuitive to navigate. We employ some basic testing to ensure navigational ease as well as track website conversion results after the launch of the site. Paying close attention to these details results in a full and complete user interface that is both intuitive and conversion-focused.
